FALL IS JUST AROUND THE CORNER

Summer may still be here, but we’re already getting excited for a busy fall at Cross Court!

With leagues returning, youth programming starting, cooler weather on the way, and more players heading back indoors, now is a great time to get back into a regular pickleball routine.

Keep an eye on our Facebook page and upcoming newsletters as we begin sharing more details about our fall programming.

We’re excited to welcome the ELEV8 Youth Pickleball Program to Cross Court at The Meadows this fall!

Led by Shawn Owen, a nationally certified NCCP Level 4 coach with more than 35 years of high-performance coaching experience, this 8-session program will help young players develop their pickleball skills, build confidence, learn game strategy, and have fun on the court.

FALL LEAGUES ARE COMING SOON

We know many of you have been waiting for leagues to return, and we’re working on our fall schedule now!

Leagues are a great way to guarantee yourself some weekly court time, meet other players around your level, and enjoy some friendly competition.

Full league details, levels, dates, times, and registration information will be announced soon.

BRING A FRIEND TO THE COURT

Have a friend, family member, or coworker who keeps saying they want to try pickleball?

Book a court and bring them along!

Private court rentals are a great way to introduce someone to the sport without the pressure of joining a larger program. Grab some paddles, a few balls, and show them why pickleball is so much fun.

PICKLEBALL TIP OF THE WEEK

Don’t rush to the kitchen.

Getting to the kitchen line is important, but getting there under control is even more important. If your opponent is about to hit while you’re moving forward, split step and get balanced before reacting to the ball.

Moving with control will help you make better shots and avoid getting caught off balance.

DID YOU KNOW?

Did you know that the middle can be one of the safest places to hit the ball?

A shot down the middle can create confusion between opponents and gives you more room for error than aiming close to the sidelines.

When in doubt, sometimes keeping it simple is the smartest play!

BOOK YOUR COURT

Looking to get some games in this week?

Courts at The Meadows can be booked through Mindbody. Grab a few friends and enjoy indoor pickleball without worrying about heat, wind, rain, or changing weather.

Booking ahead is always recommended, especially as we head toward the busier fall season.

PLANNING A GROUP EVENT?

Pickleball is a fun and easy activity for groups of all experience levels.

Cross Court at The Meadows can host:

● Corporate and staff events

● Birthday celebrations

● Community groups

● Sports teams

● Family and friend gatherings

● Private pickleball events
