The Countdown Is On, Cross Court at the Meadows Is Almost Here
We’re just a couple weeks away from opening Cross Court at the Meadows, a brand-new indoor pickleball facility designed to bring people together through play, community, and connection.
More Than Courts, We’re Building a Community
Cross Court will feature five indoor courts and a welcoming, unstaffed facility for players of all levels. From your first rally to your hundredth game, you’ll feel right at home.
We’re here for the casual drop-ins, the competitive games, and everyone in between. Whether you’re playing, learning, or just showing up to be part of something fun and positive, this is your place.
Starting July 3, Steve, Deanna, and the team will be on-site putting the final pieces in place. We know you’re excited (we are too), but we ask that you don’t stop by just yet — we’re focused on staying on track for our opening day.

Weekly Upcoming Programs: Skills & Drills, Leagues, and Drop-In Sessions
What is Skills & Drills?
Skills & Drills is a focused, coach-led session designed to help you improve specific areas of your pickleball game, whether you’re working on consistency, strategy, footwork, or shot technique.
Each session targets a different aspect of play, such as:
• Dinking with control
• Mastering your third shot drop
• Improving net play
• Court positioning and movement
It’s perfect for players who want to:
Level up their game
Break bad habits
Gain confidence before leagues or drop-ins
Have fun while improving!
No matter your experience level, Skills & Drills is a great way to sharpen your skills in a supportive, low-pressure environment.
Leagues at Cross Court, Find Your Fit
Whether you’re brand new to the game or ready for fast-paced rallies, our leagues are a fun way to grow your skills, meet fellow players, and enjoy a bit of friendly competition. All leagues run weekly and are organized by skill level, no partner required unless otherwise noted.
Novice Leagues: Great for newer players learning the ropes. Focus is on fun, improvement, and gaining confidence.
Intermediate Leagues (3.0–3.5): Perfect for players who are getting more consistent and competitive. Expect great rallies and supportive vibes.
Advanced Leagues (3.5+): For experienced players who love fast-paced, strategy-driven match play.
Team League – Grab a partner and compete as a team! Teams will face off each week in a doubles format.
Leagues are focused on fun, fair matchups but the final week will be DUPR-rated for those who want to track their competitive progress.
No matter your level, there’s a place for you at Cross Court.
Drop-In Sessions: Play, Connect, Improve
Each drop-in session runs for 2 hours and is a great way to get in consistent play without needing a partner, just sign up and show up.
Here’s how it works:
• Register as an individual (no need to bring a partner)
• Games are played to 11, with winning teams staying on and splitting up for the next round
• Sessions are organized by skill level so you can enjoy competitive, balanced play
Not sure where you fit? Visit our website at CrossCourtPickleball.ca and click on “Self Rating Guidelines” to find the best match for your current ability.
Some drop-in sessions along with leagues will eventually contribute to your DUPR rating, a fun way to track your progress and play more competitively if that’s your goal.
Want to learn more about DUPR? Check the section below.
What is DUPR?
DUPR stands for Dynamic Universal Pickleball Rating — a global rating system that tracks your skill level based on match results. It’s free, easy to use, and designed for every level of play, from casual to competitive.
How it works:
• Players log match results in the SWISH app that will be sent to DUPR
• Your rating adjusts based on scores and opponent ratings
• Ratings range from 2.0 (beginner) to 8.0+ (pro level)
• You can track your progress over time and find well-matched opponents
Whether you’re just starting out or chasing a new personal best, DUPR is a great way to measure your growth and make every game count, when you want it to.
We’re Hiring
We’re building something special and we’re looking for passionate people to help lead the way.
Now hiring:
• Facility Manager to oversee operations
• Community Ambassadors to help keep things welcoming and organized
• Pickleball Coaches for lessons, clinics, and beginner sessions
If you love pickleball and people, we’d love to hear from you.
